How the PSLE is marked
Four subjects, eight Achievement Levels, one score from 4 to 32
Each PSLE subject is graded from AL1 (90 marks and above) to AL8 (below 20), and the PSLE Score is the sum of the four, from 4 to 32 (MOE, SEAB). The top bands are only five marks wide, so a few marks in one subject can move the total.
That is why lessons here are built on the actual 2026 papers: method marks in Maths, the four English papers, the Chinese oral worth a quarter of the grade, and the written answers in Science Booklet B.

Which subjects and levels do you teach?
English, Maths, Chinese and Science for Primary 1 to Primary 6, at home in the East of Singapore or online. Science starts at Primary 3, as it does in school.

How much does primary home tuition cost?
Published 2026 rates for primary home tuition run from about S$25 to S$40 an hour with a part-time tutor, S$35 to S$60 with a full-time tutor and S$55 to S$90 with a current or former school teacher (FamilyTutor, SmileTutor, TutorCity). We confirm the rate for your child before the first lesson.
How is the PSLE scored now?
Each subject is graded in Achievement Levels from AL1 (90 marks and above) to AL8 (below 20). The PSLE Score is the sum of four subjects, from 4 (best) to 32 (MOE, SEAB).
